The Department of Management Informatics was established on Decision No 138/QĐ/KKT on December 2nd, 2003 of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City National University. The Faculty of Management Informatics, whose forerunner was the Department of Management Informatics, was founded on Decision No 96/QĐ-ĐHKTL-TCHC on July 1st 2010 of the Rector of University of Economics and Law. Currently, the Faculty has two departments: Department of Informatics and Department of Management Information System. The Faculty is in charge of the mainstream program of Management Information System.

Since 2004, the Faculty of Management Informatics commenced the specialized program at the undergraduate level. Until now, there have been three courses with graduates who have already held stable positions in businesses and banks domestically and internationally. Some of our graduates have either furthered their study at the postgraduate level or studied abroad.
