Humanity Foundation Introduction
1. Introduction
Humanity Foundation is the foundation was established in 2015 by the great idea of some individuals and organizations, in order to support and encourage students to study, intern and do career orientation. Moreover, the foundation aims to connect organizations to the university to educate the high quality resource for Management Information Systems and E-commerce.
The students joined the foundation do not required to come from difficulties. Foundation takes priority of choosing students who have the great motivation of studying, willing to overcome all challenges from the Foundation and organizations, have the passion to develop themselves in professional working environment and be ready to donate to Foundation after graduated to make the Foundation grow bigger.
The sponsors includes:
1. Companies, education organizations
2. Individuals: former students, lecturers, researchers, business man/woman and other sponsors.
Every year, the Foundation choose some students satisfied with the requirements to join the program with the benefits as below:
(1) Support School fee;
(2) Able to join some short course by the specialist, companies and education organizations;
(3) Able to do internship at 1 of companies that the Foundation introduced;
(4) Able to work part-time at company during the studying;
(5) Able to be recruited after graduated;
Each student will be supported by 1 lecturer during the studying. The supporting lecturer plays the role of following and supporting students when they have any difficulties in studying, help student have right career orientation according to their ability and also is the connection between students, the Foundation and companies.
According to annual activities, Humanity Foundation will support the scholarship for students who have difficulties, students have the best studying result, and other charities by Humanity Foundation.
2. Operational Perspective
- The information of sponsors will be uploaded on website of Faculty of Information Systems and UEL, also publish to all students, university board of UEL, Center for Enterprise Relations UEL.
- The details of funding usage (who received it and for which purpose) will be published to the sponsors before using at least 2 weeks. For this reason, the sponsors are able to send an email to cancel the usage within 1 week after this email sent.
- After received the fund, Faculty of Information Systems will send the thank you letter and the confirmation letter with the UEL’s official seal, and any financial documents that the sponsors requested.
- All activities and transactions of the Foundation will be published on website of Faculty of Information Systems.
Faculty of Information Systems and students are looking forward to receiving the sponsor from all companies and individuals.
3. Support for students in difficulties
Based on the fund, on September (start of 1st semester) and February (start of 2nd semester) every year, the Foundation choose students who receive the scholarship and satisfied with the requirements:
- In difficulties,
- Achieve good studying results,
- Have many activities that support for class, faculty, university (such as associations activities, union, club, class monitor …) according to the assessment of homeroom lecturer.
The number of students chosen, the total money support for each student … will be announced and receive suggestions from the sponsors in advance, 2 weeks before sending fund. The process of sending fund will be held at university of Economics and Law and will invite the sponsors to come and award scholarship to students (if the sponsors have time).
4. Support students to do scientific research
Besides of completing all courses in the curriculum, students of Faculty of Information System are encouraged to join the scientific research as follows:
- Register the scientific research topic, start-up project according to the university and Union campaign yearly;
- Do project for test exemption in any courses (instead of doing final test, students are encouraged to do the project and will be present face to face with the lecturer);
- Join the student group to do research with the lecturer (each lecturer choose and create group of students from second year to train more about the knowledge to fo the topics, projects of lecturers and organizations).
Doing research activities brings good effects to studying results when graduated. For this reasons, Faculty always encourage and create best conditions to support students in this activity. With the support of the sponsors, this is the great motivation of material and spiritual for students.
The criteria for group chosen and the fund for each group will be checked on project proposal (each group will present with the board) and discussion, feedbacks from the sponsors. The fund will be awarded in 2 times: 1/3 when the group starts and 2/3 remaining when completed.
5. Award scholarship for students who achieved high marks in some important courses
In order to encourage students study well in some important courses, Faculty of Information Systems suggest the sponsors award scholarship to students who achieve the high marks in some courses or highest average score. The number of students chosen and the fund belong to the sponsor decision.

6. Support the software and tools, teaching tools in Management Information System and E-commerce
In order to support teaching activities in some important courses (like some courses mentioned in part 3), Faculty of Information Systems needs to use software, tools, teaching tools sponsored by the organizations and individuals (such as accounting software, ERP systems, sales management, supply chain, …). Faculty guarantees that we will follow the contracts signed between the sponsors and UEL.
